What to Expect After Whitening

Your teeth will be noticeably whiter immediately. Colour continues to improve slightly over the next 24 to 48 hours as teeth rehydrate. Some patients experience mild sensitivity to cold for 24 to 48 hours, which resolves on its own.

• Avoid staining foods and drinks for 48 hours (coffee, red wine, tea, berries, soy sauce)
• No smoking or tobacco for at least 48 hours
• Use sensitivity toothpaste if needed for a few days

Important: Whitening only works on natural teeth. Crowns, veneers, and bonding do not change colour.
