Prof. Dr. Ali Gürlek is the partner surgeon Estetica Istanbul works with for gender-affirming genital surgery, male-to-female and female-to-male, which he performs at Medivia Hospital in Çengelköy, on Istanbul's Asian side. He trained in medicine at Hacettepe University and in plastic surgery at the University of Texas in Houston, became associate professor in 1998 and professor in 2004, and sees patients at his private practice in Bakırköy.
