What a penile prosthesis involves

A penile prosthesis is a device implanted inside the two erectile chambers of the penis to produce an erection on demand. It is the treatment of last resort — and the most satisfying one — for men whose erectile dysfunction no longer responds to tablets, injections or vacuum devices, including after prostate surgery, with diabetes, or with Peyronie's disease. Satisfaction rates above 90% are consistently reported in the urology literature.

Two device types are used. The malleable (semi-rigid) implant is two bendable rods: simple, reliable, no mechanical parts, always firm and bent down when not in use. The three-piece inflatable implant (Coloplast Titan, Boston Scientific AMS 700) adds a pump in the scrotum and a fluid reservoir in the abdomen: a natural flaccid state and a natural erection at the press of the pump, at a higher price and with a small mechanical failure rate over 10–15 years. The urologist explains both; most men who can afford it choose the inflatable device.

Who is eligible

Men with organic erectile dysfunction that has failed medical therapy, without active urinary or skin infection, with diabetes under control. Bring your previous urology reports and any prostate-surgery notes. Implantation is irreversible in the sense that natural erections are no longer possible afterwards — the urologist makes sure you understand this before you decide.

Why Istanbul, and why through us

The same Coloplast and Boston Scientific devices cost €15,000–25,000 privately in the UK and Germany and are rarely funded publicly. Our urology partners implant them regularly in a JCI-accredited private hospital at a third of the price. And because this is a procedure men do not discuss, the structure matters: one coordinator, private transfers, a recovery hotel, no receptionist to explain yourself to.

You deal with one coordinator, one hospital and one medical team from the first message to the last follow-up. Every price is itemised in writing before you pay a deposit, and the written quote does not change unless you change the plan. Flights are never included.

Recovery and follow-up

One to two nights in hospital, then the recovery hotel; the urologist's check on day four or five and most patients fly home on day five or six. Pain and swelling settle over two weeks; the inflatable device is activated by the urologist at four to six weeks, usually by video call with our coordinator present, and sexual activity resumes then. The device passport and manufacturer warranty go with you.

Cost of a penile implant in Turkey

The published price is the starting point for a malleable prosthesis including the device, surgery, hospital nights, recovery hotel, transfers and coordination. Three-piece inflatable implants are quoted individually — expect roughly €10,000–13,000 depending on the device. Flights are never included.
