What All-on-4 involves
All-on-4 replaces a full arch of missing or failing teeth with a fixed bridge supported by four implants — two vertical at the front and two angled at the back to use the strongest bone and avoid the sinus and nerve. Because the bridge is fixed to the implants, there is no denture to remove, no palate plate and no adhesive. It is the standard solution for patients with a failing dentition, advanced gum disease, or a loose lower denture.
Treatment takes two trips. On the first, any remaining teeth are extracted, four implants per arch are placed and a temporary acrylic bridge is fitted within 24–72 hours, so you fly home with fixed teeth. After three to six months of healing, you return for the permanent bridge — zirconia or acrylic-on-titanium — designed from a digital scan. Patients with very little bone may be offered All-on-6 or zygomatic implants instead; the dentist tells you which from your CT.
Who is eligible
Adults with a failing or missing dentition in one or both arches, non-smokers or willing to stop for the healing period, and without uncontrolled diabetes or bisphosphonate therapy. Bring a recent panoramic X-ray or CT if you have one; we can also arrange a CT on arrival.
Why Istanbul, and why through us
A single arch of All-on-4 costs £12,000–18,000 in the UK and €15,000–25,000 in Germany. Our dental partner performs full-arch cases every week with the same implant systems used at home — Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Osstem — in a clinic with in-house CT and a digital lab, at a fraction of the price and with dates within weeks.
From your first message through follow-up, you can contact your patient coordinator and the partner dental team. You receive an itemised written quote before paying a deposit; changes to the treatment plan may change the price. Flights are not included.
Recovery and follow-up
Swelling and bruising for a week after the first trip; soft food for six to eight weeks while the implants integrate. Most patients work from day three or four. The second trip is shorter and pain-free: impressions, try-in and fitting of the permanent bridge over four to five days. Annual check-ups can be done at home; the implant passport and full documentation go with you.
Cost of All-on-4 in Turkey
The €3,500-per-arch entry is a market benchmark, not a confirmed available partner package. Request a current quote specifying the arch, implant system, extractions, temporary and definitive restorations, clinical work on each trip, accommodation and transfers. Ask separately about grafting, additional procedures and care after returning home. Flights are excluded.
Clarify whether the plan concerns one arch or both
Ask the dentist to identify the arch being treated and what happens to teeth that are still present. “Full mouth” and “full arch” are different descriptions; they should not be used interchangeably in a quote. Request a written explanation of which teeth, implants and restorations are covered.
If extraction is proposed, ask why each tooth needs removal and what alternatives have been considered. A package advertised around an implant count should not determine whether an individual tooth is retained.
Distinguish the first restoration from the final one
Ask what you will leave Istanbul with after the initial procedure, whether it is temporary and which further appointments are anticipated. Request the timeline from the treating dentist rather than assuming that a same-day photograph shows completed treatment.
For general information to discuss with your treating clinician, see ADA implant guide. Your quote should make those components and stages visible, including what is included in the price and what needs a later agreement.
Compare four and six implants through the clinical rationale
Ask the dentist why the proposed number and positions are appropriate for your plan. Do not assume that a higher count is always better, or that a lower count establishes the same treatment for every patient.
Discuss the alternatives, the intended benefit and the material risks before choosing a fixed restoration. If several proposals sound equally plausible, ask for a clear explanation of the trade-offs or seek another opinion.
Do not treat a benchmark as a bookable package
The website’s reference figure for All-on-4 is a market benchmark rather than a confirmed individual treatment quote. Obtain a current quote for the specified arch, implant system, temporary restoration and definitive restoration before accepting an offer.
Ask separately about extractions, additional procedures, later visits, repairs and maintenance. Flights are excluded. If more than one trip is required, include the full travel cost when comparing providers.
Plan cleaning, records and future assessment
Ask for instructions specific to the restoration and a demonstration of any recommended care method. Request implant and component details to keep for later dental care.
Does “fixed” mean maintenance-free?
No such promise is made. Ask the dentist to explain checks, care and possible future work.
Is the advertised price for both jaws?
Confirm the unit and covered arch or arches in writing. Do not infer this from a “full-mouth” heading.
Will the first visit complete all treatment?
Ask which stages remain and who provides them. A temporary restoration is not automatically the final agreed treatment.
Four or six implants is not the first decision
Begin by asking which teeth can reasonably be kept and why extraction is being proposed for any remaining teeth. A full-arch plan should explain the condition of each tooth, alternatives and the consequences of removing teeth. The count of implants becomes relevant after the restoration strategy is clear.
The International Team for Implantology consensus on implant numbers recommends considering options including tooth preservation and does not support the blanket assertion that six implants always deliver superior survival. It is evidence for a reasoned individual plan, not proof that every four-implant plan is equivalent for every patient.
Ask what the extra implants change in your case
Ask the dentist to show how bone, arch anatomy, intended restoration and opposing teeth affect the recommendation. Request an explanation of where each implant would be placed and whether grafting or another intervention is proposed. A higher count should have a clinical rationale rather than function as an upgrade tier.
Compare fixed and removable alternatives, treatment in stages, keeping appropriate teeth or postponing treatment. Ask which options support cleaning, comfort and the appearance you want. If a removable option is discussed, do not dismiss it solely because a fixed bridge sounds more permanent. Each option has maintenance requirements and limits.
Tell the dentist about previous implant failure, gum disease, smoking, diabetes, medicines and grinding. Ask which factors should be addressed before surgery and what could make an immediate temporary bridge unsuitable. A photograph or a sales quote cannot supply all the required findings.
Temporary teeth are a stage, not proof of completed treatment
Ask whether you will have a temporary restoration, whether it will be fixed or removable, and what happens if the clinical findings do not permit the initial plan. Do not describe same-day teeth as a universal promise.
Request the eating and cleaning instructions for the exact temporary work. Ask how chewing restrictions are assessed and when the final restoration can be planned. A comfortable temporary bridge does not alone establish that unrestricted chewing is appropriate. Keep the clinical assessment distinct from your wish to finish before a flight.
Discuss the restoration as carefully as the implants
Ask about the proposed final material, design, attachment and cleaning access. Find out how repairs are performed if a tooth chips, a screw loosens or another component needs attention. The implants and the bridge are different parts of the treatment and can have different maintenance needs.
Ask for the manufacturer and model of the implant system in writing. Request records and identifiers that a clinician at home can use. Maintenance depends on access to suitable care as well as on the initial placement.
Treat the listed price as a benchmark until a partner quote exists
As of October 2026, the price-list entry of €3,500 per arch for All-on-4 is expressly marked as a market benchmark, not a confirmed available partner package. Its comment mentions both trips and seven nights on the first trip, but that does not verify your booking. Request an assessed, current All-on-6 quote if that option is proposed.
A quote must say whether it concerns one arch or both, which extractions and implants are included, and whether temporary and final restorations, grafting, imaging and both trips are covered. Ask about anaesthesia, accommodation and transfers for each visit.
Exclusions include international flights, additional Deniz nights at €70 per night, Antwell upgrade at an additional €40 per night, unquoted dentistry, future maintenance, revision and complication treatment unless written terms cover them. Request insurance information separately. Compare the complete two-trip budget rather than multiplying a single-implant floor by four.
Include surgical and restoration risks in consent
Ask about infection, bleeding, implant failure, injury to nearby structures, bite or speech difficulties, and damage or loosening of restoration components. The risks depend on the individual sites and design; more implants cannot guarantee success.
Plan the handover and departure review
Ask which checks must occur before travel, who reviews symptoms and what could extend the first trip. Request a contact route and a way to arrange local assessment at home if needed. A procedure package does not remove the need for in-person care when a concern arises.
Is six always better than four?
No universal superiority is established. Ask what changes in your specific plan.
Can healthy teeth be removed to simplify the package?
Request an explanation of preservation options and irreversible consequences before consenting.
Does fixed mean maintenance-free?
No. Ask for cleaning instruction, review arrangements and the likely costs of repairs. Request an assessment with photographs, available imaging and your medical form for a verified written proposal.
What if my medical history changes suitability?
Disclose previous implant failure, diabetes, gum disease and the medicines you take. Ask whether those findings change extraction, placement or temporary-bridge plans and what requires further assessment.
Does the end of the hotel booking establish fitness to travel?
Ask about the review needed on each trip, including temporary-bridge care after placement and adjustment of the definitive restoration later. Hotel checkout cannot supply either clinical decision.
