Op. Dr. Semih Tiber Menteşe is a plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon in Istanbul and a partner surgeon of Estetica Istanbul. He is an independent surgeon. During this period he attended the national basic microsurgery course at Marmara University in 2018 and a laboratory animal science course for researchers at Yeditepe University in 2019.

Clinical career

After Okmeydanı, his profile lists Necip Fazıl Training and Research Hospital from 2023 to 2024, and VM Medical Park Florya Hospital, a hospital of Istanbul Aydın University's medical faculty, from 2024 to the present. Other appointment listings link him to hospitals of the İstinye University and Medical Park group in Istanbul.

His published work is mostly reconstructive. A 2022 paper in the Journal of Dermatological Treatment on managing Kaposi's sarcoma from a plastic surgery perspective lists his affiliation as the plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery clinic of Prof. Dr. Cemil Taşcıoğlu City Hospital in Istanbul. His international profile also lists papers on reconstruction of a wide abdominal wall defect with a free latissimus dorsi flap, reconstruction after Fournier's gangrene, the thoracodorsal artery perforator flap in armpit reconstruction, and a free adductor magnus flap for a heel defect, along with presentations and poster reports at national congresses.

That background in flap surgery and reconstruction is relevant to the larger lifting and contouring operations he performs for our patients, where skin and tissue are moved and tightened rather than only removed.

What he does for Estetica Istanbul patients

For our patients, Dr. Menteşe is the surgeon for the following procedures. For Estetica Istanbul patients, his operations are booked by default at Medical Park Gaziosmanpaşa (GOP) in Istanbul.

• Face: mini facelift, neck lift, endoscopic brow lift, forehead reduction (hairline lowering), fox eye or canthopexy surgery for a lifted outer eye corner, ear reshaping (otoplasty) and liposuction under the chin.
• Facial feminization surgery: a planned combination of facial procedures, agreed with you in advance, to soften and feminise the face.
• Body: tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) to remove loose skin and tighten the abdominal wall, and arm lift with liposuction to remove hanging skin on the upper arm.
• Intimate surgery: vaginoplasty.

For each of these he will look at your photos and history, explain what can realistically change, where the scars will be, what anaesthesia is used and how long you should stay in Istanbul before flying home. Your coordinator then books your hotel nights and check-ups around his plan.

Meeting him before you book

After you receive your offer, you can book a video call with the surgeon. The surgeon video call costs €30, and that amount is credited to your surgery if you book. On the call you can ask about technique, scars, recovery and timing directly, and for combined facial work such as facial feminization you can go through each part of the plan one by one.
