MtF Breast Augmentation Cost 2026: €4,500 in Istanbul vs a €6,460 Italian Average

MtF breast augmentation through Estetica Istanbul starts from €4,500, all-inclusive except flights. Comparable private breast augmentation costs £6,000–£8,000 (about €7,104–€9,472) at a London clinic, €4,500–€9,500 in Germany (average €6,440), €3,300–€10,000 in Italy (average €6,460), and a US average surgeon fee of $4,875 (about €4,357) before anaesthesia and the hospital are added. Istanbul is €1,960 below the Italian average, €1,940 below the German average and €2,604–€4,972 below London.

National price surveys rarely separate augmentation for trans women from augmentation in general, so the UK, US, German and Italian figures are published breast-augmentation prices. The surgery is the same family of operation; what differs is the planning, because implant size is chosen from chest-wall measurements and the breast tissue that oestrogen has already built.

Turkey: €4,500, and what the package includes

The from-€4,500 package is arranged by Estetica Istanbul, an agency: partner surgeons operate in a JCI-accredited partner hospital in Istanbul. The price covers pre-operative tests and the anaesthesia consultation, the surgery under general anaesthesia, cohesive silicone implants from Motiva, Mentor or Polytech with an implant passport, one hospital night, recovery-hotel nights at the Deniz Hotel in Kadıköy, VIP airport transfers, medication, the support garment and follow-up checks in Istanbul and remotely after you return. Booking takes a €500 deposit. Cancel at least 14 days before surgery and before your flight is booked, and it is refunded; otherwise it becomes a 12-month credit. The video call with the assistant is free; a €30 video call with the surgeon is the first paid step after you receive an offer, and it is credited when you book.

United Kingdom: £6,000–£8,000 before you add a lift

Centre for Surgery in London quotes £6,000–£8,000 for a standard augmentation with implants, covering surgeon, anaesthetist, theatre and implants. At the European Central Bank reference rate of £0.8446 per euro on 13 October 2026, that is about €7,104–€9,472. The same clinic quotes £9,500–£12,500 when a lift is added, and warns that cheaper UK quotes often leave out the implant warranty, medication and follow-up visits.

United States: $4,875 is the surgeon alone

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons reports an average surgeon fee of $4,875 for augmentation with implants, about €4,357 at the ECB rate of $1.1188 per euro. ASPS states that this excludes anaesthesia, the operating facility, tests, garments and prescriptions. It looks lower than Istanbul only because it is a different, smaller bill.

Germany: €4,500–€9,500, average €6,440

The myBody GeKIS price index puts augmentation with implants at €4,500–€9,500, with an average total of €6,440. That German figure is all-in for the clinic stay: consultation, theatre, anaesthetist, surgeon, brand-name implants, at least one hospital night, support bra, follow-ups and 19% VAT. It does not include hotel nights or transfers, which most local patients do not need.

Istanbul vs Milan and Rome: the Italian numbers

Guidaestetica.it surveyed 78 Italian surgeons and clinics and reports an average of €6,460 for mastoplastica additiva, inside a range of €3,300–€10,000; Milan quotes run €3,300–€9,000 and Rome €4,000–€8,000. Money.it, using clinic websites, gives a higher band: €6,500–€10,000 in Milan and €6,000–€9,500 in Rome.

Set against the €6,460 Italian average, the Istanbul package is €1,960 lower and also covers hotel nights and transfers. Against the Money.it Milan floor of €6,500, the gap is €2,000. The cheapest Milan quotes at €3,300 undercut Istanbul on paper, but Italian quotes frequently list tests and garments separately, so ask any Italian clinic for an itemised figure before comparing. Direct flights from Milano Malpensa, Bergamo or Roma Fiumicino to Istanbul take about three hours; the flight is the one cost you add to the Turkish price.

The gap, side by side

What the surgeon asks for before the operation

WPATH Standards of Care version 8 recommends at least 6 months of gender-affirming hormone therapy before gender-affirming surgery, unless hormones are not wanted or are medically contraindicated. The partner surgical team asks for at least twelve months of oestrogen before augmentation, a WPATH SOC8 mental-health assessment letter, a minimum age of 18 and no smoking for four weeks before surgery. You bring your own documentation: neither Estetica Istanbul nor the partner hospital provides hormone therapy, assessment letters or legal gender recognition.

The operation is under general anaesthesia and is not risk-free. The US Food and Drug Administration lists capsular contracture, rupture and further surgery among the known risks of breast implants, and implants are not lifetime devices. How to compare quotes without being misled

Ask every clinic in writing for five things: what the price includes and what is billed on top; the hospital and its accreditation; the operating surgeon's name and experience with trans patients; the implant brand, size range and warranty; and the written plan if you need a revision once home.
