In Milan, the lowest listed mastopexy prices we could find are €6,000 at Chirurgia Estetica Scimè and €6,500 at the Milan office of the Center of Cosmetic Surgery, both published on the WhatClinic directory. A Money.it article of 6 May 2025 puts a breast lift in Italy at €8,500 to €10,000. Before flights, the gap is €2,600 to €6,600. What the €3,400 in Istanbul includes

The package covers the partner surgeon's fee, the operating theatre, general anaesthesia, the hospital stay after surgery and five package nights, with the hotel nights at the Deniz. Extra nights at the Deniz cost €70 each, and the Antwell upgrade costs €110 per night. Flights are never included. A lift combined with implants, fat transfer or a tummy tuck is quoted individually after your photographs are reviewed, so do not build that price by adding starting prices together. Ask whether the compression bra and take-home medication are in your written quote before you pay anything.

Istanbul vs Milan and Rome: what an Italian breast lift costs

WhatClinic, a directory where clinics publish their own starting prices, lists Chirurgia Estetica Scimè in Milan with mastopexy from €6,000 and the Milan office of the Center of Cosmetic Surgery from €6,500. The lowest Italian starting price on the same directory is €5,000, without a named city. These are entry prices. Neither Milan listing states whether anaesthesia, the operating theatre or the post-operative bra are inside the figure, so ask each clinic for a written quote.

Money.it, in an article by Veronica Caliandro published on 6 May 2025, gives €8,500 to €10,000 for a breast lift in Italy. It has no city figure for the lift itself, but for breast surgery in general it puts Milan at €6,500 to €10,000 and Rome at €6,000 to €9,500. The article does not name its data, so read it as a range, not a quote.

The same article lists what an Italian patient can pay on top. The first visit is free with most surgeons but costs €150 to €300 with some. Pre-operative tests such as blood work, a mammogram and an electrocardiogram cost €100 to €200. Follow-up visits and dressing changes are either included or billed at €50 to €150 each.

The arithmetic, line by line

Against Scimè's €6,000, the Istanbul package leaves €2,600 for the flight and anything extra. The Center of Cosmetic Surgery's €6,500 leaves €3,100, and Money.it's €8,500 to €10,000 leaves €5,100 to €6,600. If your surgeon asks you to stay two extra nights, the Deniz adds €140 and the smallest margin drops to €2,460. If a Milan surgeon charges €300 for the first visit and €200 for tests, the Italian side rises by up to €500.

Milan Malpensa (MXP), Bergamo (BGY) and Rome Fiumicino (FCO) have direct flights to Istanbul of roughly three hours. A patient from Milan sleeps at home after surgery; an Istanbul patient needs a hotel, and those nights are already inside the €3,400. Where Milan wins

Proximity, continuity and recourse. In Milan your surgeon is a short trip away for every dressing change and check, and an early problem is examined by the person who operated. Your contract sits under Italian law, and the provincial Ordine dei Medici handles complaints. In Istanbul you are seen in person during your stay; after that, follow-up runs remotely, with your partner surgeon reviewing photographs. If something needs a hands-on examination after you fly home, you either travel back or see a doctor in Italy at your own cost. If those three things are worth more to you than €2,600 to €6,600, Milan is the rational choice.

How to check an Istanbul offer before you pay

Ask for the facility's international health-tourism authorisation from the Turkish Ministry of Health, the operating surgeon's full name and specialist registration, and the hospital where you will be admitted. Ask which technique is planned, periareolar, vertical or inverted-T, because the technique decides the scar, and get the answer in writing. A breast lift is performed under general anaesthesia; it is low-risk in trained hands but not risk-free, and the scars are permanent at any price.

Booking steps and the deposit

The first step is a free video call with a patient assistant. After you receive an offer, a €30 video call with the surgeon is the first paid step, and the €30 is credited if you book. A €500 deposit holds the surgery date. Cancel at least 14 days before surgery and before your flight is booked, and the deposit is refunded; otherwise it becomes a credit valid for 12 months.
