Mommy Makeover in Istanbul vs Milan 2026: €5,520 With Six Nights vs a €10,583 Italian Average

A mommy makeover package in Istanbul starts at €5,520, flights excluded, with six package nights at the Deniz hotel. Estheticon.it, which collects published prices from Italian plastic surgeons, puts the Italian average for the same combined operation at €10,583, and its Milan listings run from €4,000 to €30,000. Against the Italian average, the Istanbul headline is €5,063 lower. Against the cheapest Milan listing it is not lower at all. What decides the comparison is what each number contains and how many nights a mommy makeover needs.

What €5,520 buys in Istanbul

The starting combination is an abdominoplasty with Lipo 360 and a breast lift, performed by a partner surgeon at a JCI-accredited partner hospital. The package lists VIP airport transfers both ways, accommodation in a partner hotel, a professional translator, all hospital and surgery fees, pre-operative blood tests and a medical consultation, anaesthesia, post-operative medication and an aftercare kit. A compression garment is included, two hospital nights are standard, and follow-up checks run at three, six and twelve months over WhatsApp. Estetica Istanbul is an agency: the surgeons and hospitals are partners, and every surgical decision is theirs. The complete list is on the itemised mommy makeover package page.

Write down what it leaves out before you compare anything. Flights are never included. Nights beyond the six cost €70 each at the Deniz, or €110 at the Antwell if you upgrade. Optional lymphatic drainage costs €100 a session or €250 for three, and only when the surgeon advises it. A €500 deposit holds the date: cancel at least 14 days before surgery and before the flight is booked and it is refunded; otherwise it becomes a 12-month credit.

Istanbul vs Milano and Roma: what the Italian quotes contain

Estheticon.it lists 23 Italian providers for a mommy makeover, priced from €4,000 to €30,000, with an Italian average of €10,583. Among the twelve Milan providers, the bottom of the market is Dott. Andrea Manconi at €4,000 to €9,000 and Dr.ssa Alessandra Martano at €5,000 to €8,000; the top is Dott. Luca Zattoni at €15,000 to €30,000. The four Rome surgeons listed quote between €5,000 and €11,000. Estheticon states that these figures are indicative and that the final price is agreed at the first visit.

The listings rarely say what the figure covers. One Italian listing specifies that a two-day hospital stay is included; most say only that the price depends on complexity or on the facility. That is the gap to close before comparing: ask whether the anaesthetist, the overnight stay, pre-operative tests, garments and follow-up visits sit inside the number or on a separate invoice. Our mommy makeover cost comparison by country sets the UK, US and German figures out the same way.

The clearest published Italian bundle comes from Clinica Pallaoro in Padova, which prices a combined programme of abdominoplasty, breast reduction and flank and back liposuction at €11,000, against €15,000 for the same three operations booked separately, a saving of about 27 percent. Istanbul prices combinations on the same logic, and our breakdown of two surgeries in one Istanbul trip shows the arithmetic at Istanbul rates.

The nights are where the Istanbul price moves

A Milan patient recovers at home. An Istanbul patient recovers in a hotel, and six nights are what €5,520 pays for: an accommodation allowance, not a medical clearance to fly. The procedure page advises planning 10 to 14 days in Istanbul, and the UK Civil Aviation Authority advises against air travel for 10 days after abdominal surgery. Staying ten nights in total adds four nights, €280, and brings the package to €5,800. Staying fourteen nights adds eight, €560, and brings it to €6,080.

Then add the flight, which neither price includes. Milan Malpensa, Bergamo and Rome Fiumicino all have direct services to Istanbul of about three hours. Buy the return leg flexible, because the departure date is set at the surgeon's final check, and our guide to flying home after a mommy makeover explains what decides it.

The like-for-like totals

Put the realistic Istanbul total of €5,800 to €6,080, plus a return flight, next to the Italian numbers. Against the Estheticon Italian average of €10,583, the gap is €4,503 to €4,783 before the flight. Rome's €5,000 to €11,000 band sits above Istanbul for most of its range, though not at its bottom. Against the €4,000 floor of the cheapest Milan listing, Istanbul costs more, although a €4,000 listing that does not say what it includes is a starting point rather than a total.

Two costs appear in neither quote and belong in a mother's budget: childcare while you are away and time off paid work. The procedure page puts the return to work at two to three weeks, so lost working days are similar in both countries. Childcare is not: in Milan someone can do the school run while you sleep at home, while in Istanbul you are away for the whole 10 to 14 days.

Where Milan or Rome wins

Proximity and continuity. In Italy every follow-up is in person with the surgeon who operated, a complication in the first weeks is seen by the same team, and the contract sits under Italian law. Istanbul follow-up after you fly home is remote. The procedure page lists an operating time of four to six hours under general anaesthesia; like any major operation it carries risks, which the surgeon should explain before you book. If in-person aftercare is worth more to you than a saving of about €4,500, Italy is the rational purchase.

How to check an Istanbul offer before you pay

Ask for the operating surgeon's full name and specialist registration, the hospital where you will be admitted, and the facility's international health-tourism authorisation from the Turkish Ministry of Health. Ask how the six nights divide between hospital and hotel, and get the exclusion list in writing. The first step is a free video call with a patient assistant; after the offer, a €30 video consultation with the surgeon is credited against the booking.

The decision in one line: Istanbul starts at €5,520 and realistically costs €5,800 to €6,080 with the nights a mommy makeover needs, against an Italian average of €10,583. The saving is about €4,500 before flights, and you pay for it with distance from your surgeon.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is the deposit for a mommy makeover in Istanbul, and is it refundable?

The deposit is €500 and it holds your surgery date. If you cancel at least 14 days before surgery and before your flight is booked, it is refunded. Otherwise it converts into a credit you can use within 12 months. Flights are not included in the €5,520 package and are booked and paid by you.

How long should I stay in Istanbul after a mommy makeover?

Plan 10 to 14 days. The package includes six nights; each extra night at the Deniz hotel costs €70, so a ten-night stay brings the package to €5,800 and a fourteen-night stay to €6,080. The UK Civil Aviation Authority advises against flying for 10 days after abdominal surgery, and the surgeon sets the final date at your last check.

Do Italian mommy makeover prices include the hospital stay?

Often the listing does not say. On Estheticon.it, one Italian surgeon states that a two-day hospital stay is included, while most listings say only that the price depends on complexity or facility. Before comparing with Istanbul, ask any Italian clinic in writing whether the anaesthetist, overnight stay, pre-operative tests, garments and follow-up visits are included.

Is €5,520 the final price for every patient?

No. €5,520 is the starting price for the base combination: a tummy tuck with Lipo 360 and a breast lift, with six package nights. The partner surgeon reviews your photos and history and may plan a different combination, which changes the quote. You receive the itemised offer before paying anything, and the first step, a video call with a patient assistant, is free.

Who performs the surgery if I book through Estetica Istanbul?

A partner plastic surgeon at a JCI-accredited partner hospital in Istanbul. Estetica Istanbul is an agency, not a clinic, so it coordinates the trip while the surgeon makes every medical decision. You can ask for the surgeon's name and specialist registration before booking, and a €30 surgeon video call after the offer is credited on booking.
