Voice feminization surgery costs from €8,030 in Istanbul through Estetica Istanbul. Published private prices elsewhere are €3,000 to €8,000 in Italy, €4,000 to €8,000 in Germany, £5,500 to £7,500 with a leading London surgeon and from $13,995 at a clinic in Seattle. Istanbul is far cheaper than the US. For patients in Italy, Germany or the UK, it is not cheaper than every quote at home, so the decision rests on what each price includes.

What the Istanbul package from €8,030 includes

Wendler glottoplasty is performed by an ENT laryngology team at a JCI-accredited partner hospital in Istanbul, with voice-therapy guidance before and after surgery. During it, the surgeon joins the front part of the vocal folds so that a shorter section vibrates, which raises the speaking pitch. Hotel nights are at the Deniz hotel, which is priced at €70 per night inside the package. An upgrade to the Antwell hotel costs €110 per night. Flights are never included, and the coordinator quotes the number of nights in writing with your offer.

Voice feminization cost by country in 2026

United Kingdom: PinkNews reported in March 2025 that Mr Chadwan Al Yaghchi, the consultant laryngologist who introduced the Wendler glottoplasty to the UK at Charing Cross Hospital in 2017, charges £5,500 to £7,500 for his voice feminisation operations in London. Bookimed's 2026 cost overview gives a higher UK average of $8,500 to $14,500.

Germany: the patient guide mooci.org, updated in September 2026, puts a self-paid glottoplasty at about €4,000 to €8,000, depending on the centre and the scope of treatment. It adds that statutory health insurers usually decide on cover case by case.

United States: Allure Esthetic in Seattle lists voice feminization surgery from $13,995. The medical-tourism platform Bookimed, in its 2026 cost overview, gives a US average of $15,000 to $25,000, so the American price is the highest in this comparison.

Türkiye: a Turkish quote below €8,030 is only comparable if it covers the same things. Ask each provider in writing which technique is used, whether a laryngoscopy before and after surgery is included, how many voice-therapy sessions are covered and how many hotel nights the price includes.

Istanbul vs Italy: the price difference

The Italian trans-health guide traidue.com, published in February 2026, says private voice surgery in Italy costs €3,000 to €8,000 depending on the centre and the surgeon. It also says the Servizio Sanitario Nazionale generally does not cover voice surgery, and that patients usually turn to private surgeons in Milan, Rome and Turin.

For a patient in Milan or Rome, an Italian quote at the low end, €3,000, is €5,030 less than the €8,030 Istanbul starting price. A quote at the top end, €8,000, is €30 less, and Istanbul then adds the hotel nights for almost the same money. The recovery the price assumes

The Medical Voice Center in Hamburg, a German glottoplasty centre, limits complete voice rest to a maximum of three to five days, with whispering allowed soon after surgery. It describes a healing phase of at least 14 days, asks patients to avoid sport for about six weeks and says a truly feminine voice usually takes six to twelve months. The result depends on voice therapy as well as surgery.

The same centre plans laryngeal checks and voice recordings at about two and six weeks and at six and twelve months. Most of those checks happen after you are home, so ask the partner surgeon for the operative notes and arrange an ENT doctor near you before you travel. What to check before you choose a surgeon

In Türkiye, check that the hospital holds the Ministry of Health international health-tourism authorization, the licence that allows it to treat patients from abroad. Then ask the surgeon how many glottoplasties they perform each year, which technique they use and who leads the voice therapy. Before surgery, ask whether the surgeon examines your vocal folds with a laryngoscopy and records your voice, so that the result can be measured against a baseline at the six- and twelve-month checks.
