How much does an arm lift cost in Turkey?

Arm lift cost by country: Turkey, UK, US, Germany and Italy compared
Comparing arm lift prices across countries is harder than it looks, because the same word covers very different things. A Turkish package price is a total. A British or American quote is usually the surgery alone. A German figure is often the surgeon's fee with theatre and anaesthesia listed underneath as separate lines. Read the table below with that in mind.

United Kingdom - £5,500-8,295 (roughly €6,300-9,600). Centre for Surgery in London quotes from £5,500 for a mini arm lift and from £7,000 for a full arm lift, with compression garments and prescribed medication charged separately and a £100 consultation fee. Cadogan Clinic lists £7,295 for a bilateral arm lift and £8,295 with liposuction, and £4,895 for a single arm.
United States - the American Society of Plastic Surgeons puts the average surgeon's fee for an arm lift at $6,192, and states plainly that this figure excludes anaesthesia, operating-room facilities and other related expenses. Whatever you pay in the US, it is meaningfully more than $6,192, and how much more depends on the city, the facility and whether the surgery is done in a hospital or an office-based theatre.
Germany - Estheticon's price index puts the average Oberarmstraffung at €4,209 across 215 surgeons, with a wide geographic spread: from around €1,700 in Dresden to €7,300 in Nuremberg, and €4,200-6,780 in the larger cities. The same index breaks out the surgeon's fee at €1,500-3,500, anaesthesia at €200-600 and theatre use at €300-600, which tells you how much sits outside a headline number.
Italy - published ranges cluster between €3,000 and €7,000. Istituto Estetico Italiano lists a lifting braccia from €6,600 with a Rome clinic stay and €7,800 in Milan, with the compression garment (€150) and unlimited follow-up appointments (€300) sold as add-ons.
Currency conversions are approximate and move. None of these are fixed tariffs - they are private-market prices that vary by surgeon, city and how much skin has to be removed. An arm lift is a cosmetic operation almost everywhere, so the NHS and most European public systems will not fund it except in rare functional cases after massive weight loss.
Why the price gap is so wide
The gap is structural, not clinical. Staff salaries, clinic overheads, insurance costs and commercial rents in Istanbul are a fraction of what they are in London, New York or Munich, and Turkey's enormous medical-tourism volume lets hospitals run their theatres efficiently rather than half-empty. The exchange rate does the rest. What is not different is the hardware: sutures, implantable materials, monitoring equipment and sterilisation standards are the same internationally sourced items, and JCI accreditation is the same accreditation that leading Western hospitals hold. Part of the gap is also an accounting illusion - a Turkish package bundles hospital, anaesthesia, garments and hotel into one number, while a Western quote strips them out and bills them one at a time.
What's included - and what isn't
Ask every clinic you speak to for a written list of inclusions, and compare those lists rather than the prices. The questions that separate a real quote from a marketing number: does it cover both arms or one? Is the anaesthetist's fee inside or outside? How many nights in hospital and how many in the hotel? Are compression garments included, and how many? What happens - and who pays - if you develop a seroma or a wound-healing problem after you fly home? Is there a written revision policy, and what does it require of you? Is an arm lift in Turkey safe?
An arm lift is a real operation with real risks, wherever it is performed. Our partner surgeons are board-certified plastic surgeons operating in a JCI-accredited partner hospital, but no accreditation removes the risk of seroma, delayed wound healing along the incision, infection, altered sensation in the forearm, asymmetry, or a scar that widens. The scar is the honest trade-off of this operation: it runs from the armpit toward the elbow and it is permanent - it fades but it does not disappear, and anyone promising otherwise is selling. Surgery also raises the risk of blood clots, and flying too soon compounds it; plan to stay 7-10 days before your flight home and follow the mobilisation and compression instructions you are given rather than the schedule your calendar would prefer.
How to choose a clinic without chasing the lowest price
The cheapest quote in this market is usually cheap for a reason you will only discover later. Treat these as red flags: a firm price given before any surgeon has looked at your photographs; no named surgeon or no way to verify their board certification; no named hospital; pressure to pay a deposit within hours of first contact; before-and-after photographs that cannot be attributed to the surgeon who would operate on you; no written list of what the price includes; and no concrete answer to what happens if something goes wrong after you have flown home. A clinic that answers all of those in writing is a better bet at €3,250 than one that dodges them at €2,500.

When you compare quotes, confirm in writing whether the figure is unilateral or bilateral - it is one of the most common reasons two prices that look similar are not.
Will insurance or the NHS cover an arm lift?
Almost never. An arm lift is classified as cosmetic in the UK, most of Europe and the US, so expect to self-fund it wherever you have it done. The rare exceptions are functional cases after very large weight loss, where excess skin causes recurrent infection or interferes with daily activity, and even then approval is difficult and slow. Standard travel insurance also excludes planned surgery abroad, so you need a policy written for medical travel.
What should I budget on top of the package price?
Flights for you and anyone travelling with you; travel insurance that explicitly covers planned surgery abroad; any extra hotel nights if you choose to stay longer than the package covers; spending money; and, most importantly, time.
