Brow Lift Cost 2026: €3,550 in Istanbul, Cheaper Than the UK, Germany and the US but Not Cheaper Than Italy

A brow lift through Estetica Istanbul starts at €3,550, and that figure is a package: the partner surgeon, all hospital and surgery fees, anaesthesia, hotel nights, transfers, a translator and a year of follow-up. Flights are not in it. Set the same operation against London, New York, Munich and Milan and the picture is not uniform. Istanbul is clearly cheaper than the United Kingdom, Germany and the United States. It is not cheaper than Italy, where published ranges start below the Istanbul package price. Here are the five numbers, and where each one comes from.

What a brow lift costs in five countries

Turkey. Estetica Istanbul lists an eyebrow lift from €3,550, all-inclusive of the partner surgeon, all hospital and surgery fees, anaesthesia, pre-operative blood tests, accommodation in a partner hotel, VIP airport transfers, a translator on 24/7 support, post-operative medication and one year of follow-up consultations. A €500 deposit holds the surgery date. International flights, extra hotel nights and personal spending sit outside the package.

United Kingdom. Centre for Surgery in London publishes £5,500 to £7,500 for a temporal or direct brow lift and £8,000 to £10,500 for an endoscopic or coronal brow lift, and states the quote is all-inclusive: surgeon, consultant anaesthetist, theatre at its CQC-regulated Baker Street hospital, pre-operative assessment, medication, suture removal and reviews at six weeks, three months and six months. Aurora Clinics quotes from £6,300. Converted, the London range is roughly €6,410 to €12,240.

United States. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons puts the average brow lift surgeon's fee at $5,460, about €4,800, and states that this figure excludes anaesthesia, operating room and facility costs, medical tests and prescriptions. The American number is not a total. Once theatre and anaesthesia are added, a brow lift in the United States lands well above the Istanbul package rather than near it.

Germany. The Munich practice of Dr Neuhann-Lorenz publishes €7,500 to €8,500 for a temporal lift, €8,500 to €9,500 for the classical open technique and €8,000 to €13,000 for the endoscopic approach, with the surgeon's fee, anaesthesia, operating room and team, materials, aftercare and 19% VAT all inside the figure.

Italy. Dr Tommaso Agostini publishes €2,500 to €5,000 for a brow lift, covering the surgical team of two surgeons and an anaesthetist, consumables, the operating room, the day-hospital or overnight stay, dressings and follow-up visits. The 2024 national tariff list from SIES, the Italian society for aesthetic medicine and surgery, carries no separate brow lift line, but lists €3,000 to €5,500 for a face and neck lift and €1,500 to €3,500 for upper and lower blepharoplasty.

Why these five numbers are not comparable until you fix the scope

The largest error in cost comparison is reading a surgeon's fee as a price. The $5,460 American figure pays one person for their work. The London, Munich and Istanbul figures are packages that already contain the anaesthetist, the theatre and the hospital. Setting $5,460 beside €3,550 and concluding that the gap is small compares a part with a whole.

The second error is tax. The German figures carry 19% VAT inside them, because aesthetic surgery without a medical indication is taxable in Germany. Remove the VAT and €8,000 becomes about €6,720, still above Istanbul. The inclusive figure is the honest one to compare, because it is what the patient actually pays.

The third is what happens after the operation. A London quote that includes reviews at six weeks, three months and six months buys something a bare quote does not. The Istanbul package answers this with one year of follow-up consultations and a patient coordinator reachable on WhatsApp, which carries more weight when the patient lives thousands of kilometres from the operating room.

The Italy exception, stated plainly

For a patient living in Italy, price is not a reason to fly. An Italian range of €2,500 to €5,000 overlaps the €3,550 Istanbul package and undercuts it at the bottom end. Add a flight and the arithmetic gets worse, not better. Anyone selling an Italian patient a brow lift in Istanbul on cost alone is selling a number that does not survive a local quote.

What can justify the trip from Italy is scope rather than price: one anaesthetic covering a brow lift alongside eyelid surgery or a facelift, a specific partner surgeon, or a schedule that fits a single week away from work. Those are real reasons. A saving that a flight erases is not.

Where the saving is real

For a patient in London the difference is not marginal. The €3,550 package against an £8,000 to £10,500 endoscopic quote, €9,330 to €12,240, is a gap of roughly €5,800 to €8,700 on a like-for-like inclusive basis, with hotel and transfers already inside the Istanbul figure. Against the £5,500 to £7,500 temporal range, €6,410 to €8,740, the gap is roughly €2,900 to €5,200.

German arithmetic runs the same way. The €7,500 bottom of the German temporal range against €3,550 is a gap of €3,950 before the German patient has paid for anything outside the operating room. For an American patient, the $5,460 surgeon's fee alone is €4,800, already above the full Istanbul package, and anaesthesia and theatre are still to come.

Combining procedures on one trip

A brow lift is rarely the only item on the list. Estetica Istanbul lists blepharoplasty from €1,950, facelift surgery from €3,750 and a deep plane facelift from €6,900. One anaesthetic and one trip is where the difference compounds: Centre for Surgery adds £3,500 to £4,500 for upper blepharoplasty alongside a brow lift and £6,500 to £8,500 for upper and lower, while the Munich practice quotes €9,500 to €11,000 for a brow lift with eyelid correction and €10,000 to €13,000 combined with a facelift.

Combining is a surgical decision, not a shopping decision. Longer operations mean longer anaesthesia, and the partner surgeon decides what is appropriate to do in one sitting for a given patient. A brow lift under general or local anaesthesia is low-risk but not risk-free, and stacking procedures changes that calculation. Agree what is clinically appropriate first, then price it.

What actually moves the number

Technique is the largest single factor in every country. A temporal or direct brow lift is a smaller operation than an endoscopic or coronal lift, and pricing reflects that everywhere: £5,500 against £8,000 in London, €7,500 against €8,000 in Munich. Establish which technique a quote covers before setting two quotes side by side.

After technique come the seniority of the operating surgeon, whether the case is a primary or a revision, and the hospital. Estetica Istanbul is an agency: it works with partner surgeons and partner hospitals rather than employing surgeons, and the surgeon assigned to a case is named before the €500 deposit is paid, not after.

Against those three countries Istanbul saves real money on a like-for-like basis. Against Italy's €2,500 to €5,000 it does not, and this article will not pretend otherwise.
